Research and development of instrumentation for advanced particle and X-ray detection and for analytical electron microscopy as well as both in combination are the business fields of SURFACE CONCEPT. The company focuses on the development of time resolved area detectors, combined analysis instruments for nanotechnology and the development of miniaturised electron-optical components.
In the context of customer projects SURFACE CONCEPT cooperates with scientific research institutes as well as commercial companies, offering technological consultancy, evaluation of scientific research results, laboratory services and realization of complex development projects including introduction of new surface analysis products on the market.

Surface Concept has developed a temporally and spatially resolving multimode delayline detector for electrons to be used with the PHOIBOS hemispherical analyser of SPECS.
