CreaTec produces customised systems and components for Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE).
Years of experience in UHV instrument and systems design, construction and operation provide the bedrock of expertise which allows CreaTec to meet the very special requirements of high-end systems. As well as building instruments for own systems, CreaTec products are routinely customised to allow them to be retro-fitted to existing vacuum systems from all manufacturers.

Dedicated clean rooms (class 1000 up to class 10) in CreaTec's recently greatly expanded facility are used for the manufacture and test of all the company's instruments as part of its commitment to quality and reliability.

An example of one of the highlights from CreaTec's product range is the Low-Temperature-Scanning-Tunneling-Microscope (LT-STM). It is primarily used for dedicated manipulation of single atoms and molecules in the temperature range of 6 - 300 k. The high mechanical and electrical stability of the design however also makes it possible to perform Inelastic Tunneling Spectroscopy (IETS).

Another recent development at CreaTec is a Mini-MBE system, which offers full MBE functionality in a user-friendly, compact form and at a competitive price.

Inspired by close cooperations within the academic research community also a 50-keV-electron source HP4 for precise RHEED-measurements has been developed and launched recently, as well as the powerful evaluation software SAFIRE, components and software for realtime Electron Loss Spectroscopy (ELS), the control software EMERALT for the operation of complex UHV-research systems and rapid thermal annealing (RTA) systems for UHV.
For 5 years CreaTec has also been working in the field of organic MBE technology where the company constantly broadens its expertise.
